Reflecting upon recent events, I would like to share what motivated me to take on this endeavour of creating a family tree. Many times I've discussed historical information with members of my family, and noticed that while everyone seems to know bits and pieces, the information is not in a format that can be shared and preserved.

I was stunned to learn that my mother, the matriarch or our family who lived for 94 & 1/2 years was not named Veronica "Nin" McCue, but Elma McHugh. As close as we are as a family, there is an inordinate amount of information that has not been passed down cohesively through our family. In retrospect, I wonder how many other pieces of information we may not be aware of from of our history.

I'm hoping that this project will be an opportunity to bring our family closer together as we share and work on this family tree together. This website is not open to the public; login information will only be shared with family members. This website is in it's infancy, and I am open to suggestions as to what folks like or don't like.
